Is Columbia Omni-Heat good for winter?
Synthetic options like Thermarator™ and Omni-Heat™ are great for moderate to cold climates while Turbodown™ and natural down are ideal for cold to extreme cold settings. In addition to the different insulation types, there are some jackets like windbreakers or lightweight rain shells that are insulation-free.
What is the difference between Columbia Omni-Heat gold and silver?
It builds on the original Omni-Heat™ concept inspired by NASA that uses tiny silver dots to reflect heat. The difference with the new gold liner is that it mixes large dots in with small ones, allowing them to cover a greater surface area with the reflective foil, therefore keeping you warmer.
Is Columbia puffer jacket waterproof?
In general, men's puffer jackets are not specifically designed to be waterproof. However, at Columbia Sportswear®, we develop waterproof and water-resistant puffer jackets. Indeed, we can provide you puffer jackets with different levels of waterproofness.
